Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will appear at Paris' Vivatech trade fair on Wednesday, organisers said Monday, bringing a heavyweight American player in space and AI to the French capital.

Bezos "will share his vision of innovation, entrepreneurship and the future of humanity" with attendees at the 10th annual gathering of the tech forum, the event's team said in a statement.

Since stepping down as Amazon's CEO in 2021, Bezos has plunged into other projects including the space launch firm Blue Origin, a competitor to Elon Musk's SpaceX, and the "physical AI" startup Prometheus.

Space is likely to be the focus of his appearance in a panel discussion alongside Blue Origin boss Dave Limp and former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino.

Blue Origin suffered a harsh setback in late May when its New Glenn rocket exploded on the launchpad during a test.
