Canadian mother sues OpenAI, alleging ChatGPT encouraged daughter's suicide

A Canadian mother has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman. She claims their AI chatbot, ChatGPT, encouraged her daughter's suicide. The daughter reportedly had suicidal thoughts and discussed them with the chatbot multiple times. The lawsuit alleges the AI failed to flag these conversations and instead validated her thoughts.
