Pune-based impulse lifestyle retail brand Uni Seoul has raised Rs 35 crore (around $3.7 million) in its Series A funding round led by Riverwalk Holdings and Sauce. The round also saw participation from Panthera Peak Ventures and a group of existing angel investors.
Founded by Gaurav Karmani and Mohit Khurana, Uni Seoul operates in the impulse lifestyle retail segment, offering products across categories such as plush toys, home and living, stationery, bags, travel accessories, beauty and personal care, and gifting.
The company plans to deploy the fresh proceeds towards expanding its offline retail footprint, strengthening supply chain capabilities, growing its private-label portfolio, and launching on quick commerce platforms. It aims to scale from 15 stores to more than 50 outlets in the near term while targeting 500 retail touchpoints over the next five years.
Uni Seoul currently operates 15 stores across cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, and Nashik. The brand offers over 1,000 SKUs priced between Rs 99 and Rs 2,999.
According to the company, India's gifting market was valued at approximately $75 billion in 2024, while the rapid expansion of quick commerce is creating new opportunities for impulse-driven lifestyle and gifting products.
Commenting on the investment, co-founder Mohit Khurana said the company plans to scale its retail presence and expand into quick commerce as it looks to build a category-defining impulse lifestyle retail brand in India.
