Infosys-backed precision oncology startup 4baseCare raises Rs 128 Cr

Bengaluru-based precision oncology startup 4baseCare has raised a total of Rs 128 crore ($13.3 million) in funding, including a fresh top-up round of Rs 38 crore led by growX Ventures and Infosys, with participation from existing investors.

The latest infusion comes months after the company raised Rs 90 crore in the first close of its Series B round from investors including Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, and Yali Capital.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to expand its genomics laboratory network globally and strengthen its AI-led oncology platform. It aims to improve access to precision oncology for underrepresented populations across India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and other emerging markets.

Founded in 2019 by Hitesh Goswami and Kshitij Rishi, 4baseCare develops genomics-based cancer diagnostics and AI-powered clinical decision support solutions. Its flagship platform, OncoTwin, helps oncologists derive treatment insights using clinico-genomic and real-world patient data.

4baseCare currently operates laboratories in India, Dubai, Nepal, and the Philippines and plans to enter 8–10 additional countries over the next 12–18 months. The startup is also expanding its in-hospital genomics lab model through partnerships with healthcare institutions such as AIIMS Jammu, Max Healthcare, and Shankara Hospital.

The company conducts around 1,500 genomic tests every month and expects volumes to increase to 8,000–10,000 tests per month as it scales its footprint.

Investor interest in cancer-focused startups has picked up in recent years. Last year, Everhope Oncology raised $10 million in seed funding, and MOC Cancer Care & Research Centre secured $18 million led by Elevation Capital. ErlySign, OnCare, and OneCell Diagnostics are also among the funded startups.
