Nutrition brand TruNativ raises $30 Mn led by OrbiMed

Clean-label nutrition brand TruNativ has raised $30 million in a funding round led by global healthcare-focused investment firm OrbiMed Advisors LLC. The transaction includes both primary capital infusion and the sale of secondary shares by some of the company’s early investors.

The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the brand’s offline distribution network, expand its product portfolio, and accelerate growth across domestic and international markets.

Founded by Pranav Malhotra and Mamta Malhotra in 2019, Mumbai-based TruNativ brings transparent, nutritionally balanced, and healthy food alternatives for people who care about nature and health. It sells its products through its website and various other ecommerce portals

The firm plans to scale beyond its digital-first roots and deepen its presence in physical retail channels. The funding is also expected to support brand-building initiatives and broaden consumer access to its nutrition products.

Back in November 2024, Zerodha-backed early-stage venture firm Rainmatter had backed TruNativ with Rs 10 crore in an equity round. It had also raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding round in April 2021.
